As executive coaching (also known as business coaching or leadership coaching) becomes more commonplace in the Middle East we want to make sure that Human Resource professionals in the role of selecting coaches for their leaders know the key questions to ask in selecting the best coach for the situation. Here are the key questions you should be aware of;

1. Are you a certified coach?
2. Are you a credentialed coach and current member with one of the recognised governing bodies of coaching?
(Examples include International Coach Federation (ICF), European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC) or International Coaching Association (ICA)?)
3. What level of experience do you have of senior level coaching?
(ICF credentials are helpful here. ACC means 120hrs+, PCC means 750hrs+, MCC means 2500hrs+)
4. Are you based, and do you have experience in the Middle East?
5. What senior level business experience do you have?
6. Can you provide testimonials/references?
