How do you select your coaches?

These are the key stages of our rigorous coach selection process:

  • Stage 1 – Coach engagement. Initial interview and exploratory meeting.
  • Stage 2 – Coaching simulation. Each candidate is put through a coaching simulationwith a senior WWA coach.
  • Stage 3 – Cross-referencing. We check experience and impact with previous clients.
  • Stage 4 – Engaging the coach. We request coaching and assessments certification.
  • Stage 5 – Induction. We align the coach with WWA approach and standards.

Where are your coaches based?

We have coaches across the Middle East region, located in most of the major regional cities such as Doha, Cairo, Manama, Kuwait City and Muscat. The majority are based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

What if there is no professional coach located in my area?

All our coaches have years of experience working across the Gulf Co-operation Countries (GCC). This means our coaches can travel to you or provide coaching via telephone or Skype.

What training and experience do you expect your coaches to have?

This depends on your requirements, but as a general rule we require that coaches:

  • Hold recognized qualifications in the field of coaching they specialize in
  • Have a current membership of a recognized coaching governing body
  • Have considerable relevant coaching experience in the Middle East
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in our clients and the challenges you face
  • Are aligned with our coaching principles.

How do you deliver coaching?

Wherever possible, we aim to arrange face-to-face coaching throughout your project. However, telephone and Skype coaching can be a time- and cost-effective way to deliver coaching across the Middle East. In our experience, clients mostly prefer to mix telephone coaching with intermittent face-to-face delivery when they are located at a distance from a professional coach.

What is your executive coaching process?

This is always tailored to your needs. Our recommended process is run over a period of six months and incorporates the following elements:

  • Matching process managed by WWA and the client
  • Free chemistry sessions
  • Contracting process between WWA and the client
  • Formal or informal assessment
  • One-to-one executive coaching sessions
  • Review process at midway and at close-off
  • Feedback process

What is your team coaching process?

We also adapt this to your requirements and timelines, recommending a team coaching journey of six months that includes:

  • Team assessment (tools and interviews)
  • Program design and sign-off
  • Initial two-day program
  • Multiple follow-up sessions (½-1day duration every 4-6 weeks)
  • Review process at midway and at close-off
  • Feedback process

What is your process for matching coaches to our organization and people?

We have deep understanding of our coaches’ specializations and experience, their professional background and their strengths. This enables us to make our initial selection of coaches to meet your needs. We will suggest two coaches and provide their profiles, allowing you to make the final choice.

Why are coaching governing bodies important?

At WWA Corporate Coaching, we strongly align ourselves with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). This is one of the largest global governing bodies for coaching and it sets rigorous ethical and technical standards. All of our coaches are members of the ICF or similar governing bodies like the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), or The International Association of Coaching (IAC).

The International Coaching Federation offers 3 levels of credentials, which all of our coaches meet:

  • Associate Certified Coach (ACC): Coaching experience of 100+ hours
  • Professional Certified Coach (PCC): Coaching experience of 750+ hours
  • Master Certified Coach (MCC): Coaching experience of 2500+ hours.
